SERIOUSLY, YOU ARE EATING WHAT!!!?...
 
The question I have heard asked is "If you owned a million dollar race horse, would you feed it what you are eating right this second"...(followed by stammering and stuttering) to quickly realize the answer is NO!  This question prompts the next question of what exactly do elite athletes eat?
 
I recently spoke with a player who I have worked with since he was an 8th grader, who is in his third season professionally over seas. I asked him what the biggest thing he has learned and the first thing he mentioned was that it quickly became apparent that in order to become a lasting pro, he had to change his diet. He has disciplined himself now to the point that he eats ZERO sugar, NO RED MEAT, and NO PROCESSED FOOD. He only eats foods that he knows what they are and where they come from, which includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and white meat that he personally selects and knows the source. Did I mention that he looks like he should be playing as a linebacker in the NFL, cause yes he looks like a FREAK OF NATURE!
 
THE POINT IS IF YOU ARE TRAINING TO BE THE BEST, YOUR DIET NEEDS TO REFLECT THAT. Enough with the soda, candy bars, and fast food. Save that for the rest of the 94% that don't get it. "If you always do what you have always done, you will always be what you have always been", so get with the program, and find foods that come from the ground, come from God, or has a mom and get rid of all the processed junk! 
 
For those that believe in the process of 100% TRUE GAME, may the discipline of diet be with you to give you that extra edge!
